Like to design? Like to graphic design? o_O Well, Innocence is looking just for you. For the first time in 5 years, I am holding a "Innocence LJ Icon" contest. Show your talents and skillz as a web graphic designer in this competition. Take our "innocent" Ami or her villianous counterparts to the next level with your imagination; will she fly? will he cry? will she burn? I've always been amazed at how people can make such jaw-dropping icons that can make you laugh, cry, or think all at the same time; and, I believe they deserve their time in the spotlight!

R U L E S___________

.: ALL avatars must be 100x100.

.: Use MUST use images of Mizuno Ami / Sailormercury AND/OR:

  • Zoisite
  • Berthier / Beruche
  • Viluy
  • Fisheye
  • Palla-Palla (Sailor Pallas)
  • Sailor Iron Mouse or Sailor Aluminum Siren (either is acceptable)


Up to 3 icons per entry (icons will be judged separately unless designer specifies theme; in which, icons will also be judged as one unit)




J U D G I N G___________

That's all! Simple, huh? Visitors to Inn can VOTE FOR THEIR FAVORITE ICON(S) DURING THE CONTEST BUT THE FINAL DECISIONS WILL BE MADE BY A PANEL OF JUDGES (ANNOUNCED LATER). Icons will be judged on:


(1) Regulation

    - How icon follows rules (or bends them to the extreme ^_~)


(2) Effectiveness
    - How icon gets it point across (is make me frown? my eyes water? or start balling and fall to the floor in an uncontrollable torrent of tears)


(3) Aesthetics
    - How icon looks to the eye (do the colors reflect the meaning? does it match the theme? is its beauty more than just physical?)


(4) Popularity
    - How the public rates the design (will not significantly affect judges' decisions)

Now, a contest isn't a contest unless you win something, right? Well, I ain't gots nuthin' for you to win - persay - except for:

There may or may not be honorable mentions depending upon the quality of the icons.

Those are some incentives, huh? But at a cost (of course!). To ensure $$ is not going to a waste and this competition means SOMETHING, THERE MUST BE ATLEAST 100 ENTRIES OR AWARD AMOUNTS WILL CHANGE. If there is any change, I WILL CONTACT ENTRANTS AND POST INFO ON WEBSITE & BOARDS.
